Description

A life jacket specifically designed for dinghy sailing, favored by various national sailing teams for the Optimist dinghy. It features a practical front pocket with a zipper and is equipped with particularly soft buoyancy material at the front. Putting it on and taking it off is easy thanks to the side panel with a zipper, while a Velcro closure at the waistband and a crotch strap attachment in the smallest sizes provide additional safety. With a buoyancy of 50N and classified as a buoyancy aid, this life jacket offers reliable support in the water. It stands out with a somewhat simpler design compared to conventional life jackets. Although it keeps you well afloat, it lacks a collar to support the head. The buoyancy force is evenly distributed between the front and back, but this does not guarantee that an unconscious person will automatically be brought into a supine position. For this reason, the 50N life jacket is recommended for swimmers who weigh at least 25 kg.

  2. Washing: If needed, you can clean the buoyancy aid in the washing machine with a mild detergent on a gentle cycle. Please do not use bleach or fabric softener.
  3. Air-dry: Hang the buoyancy aid up to dry—ideally not in direct sunlight or near heaters.
  4. Storage: Store the vest in a dry place to keep it ready for your next adventure.
